Club Night a 'success'

The 16th annual Live From Bloomington Club Night featured a variety of bands at a variety of clubs. While the total amount of proceeds going to the Bloomington Food Bank still has not been tallied, the organizers of the event agree that it was a success.\n"I think it went really well. There were a lot of people out at the bars and the clubs," senior Kristin Holtz, assistant director of Union Board's Live From Bloomington committee, said. "I would say it was definitely successful. We heard from the bands -- they were having a good time. The volunteers had a lot of fun. And the club owners thanked us afterward."\nJunior Martin Gimenez, director of the Union Board's Live From Bloomington committee, said the turnout was better than last year.\n"Personally I feel it was bigger than last year. Having seen only a couple of venues last year and knowing attendance wasn't ideal, then seeing every venue this year so packed -- it was great," he said.\nGimenez was enthusiastic about the number of people who showed up and already started encouraging people to come next year.\n"I felt it went amazingly. The attendance was really good; it was very strong. All the bands were incredibly good, and a good time was had by all -- that might sound like a cliche, but that's how I feel"
