Bloomington police are still looking for the person or persons involved in a Monday evening shooting that ended with a local youth being lifelined to a hospital in Indianapolis. Police believe the victim, who was shot in the right abdomen, is "out of the woods."\nThe victim was lifelined to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis late Monday evening. Police will not disclose the name because the victim is a juvenile.\nAccording to police, the shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. Monday. Police found out about it when the victim, a 16-year-old local youth, was transported to the Bloomington Hospital late that evening.\nCapt. Joe Qualters of the Bloomington Police Department said the ongoing investigation and preliminary findings have offered little help and said information has not been forthcoming. He said the police are lacking a motive, crime scene and cooperating parties.\n"There are lots of unknowns at this point," Qualters said. "That's about all we know. It continues to be under investigation … The parties are being less than cooperative in our efforts to find out what took place."\nQualters said as of Monday evening the police believed the shooter was also a local youth. Tuesday, he said it might have been someone else. One item he said that changed was the car that dropped off the victim was blue and not red, as previously reported.\nQualters said the bottom line is that police have not gotten the necessary information. \n"We're just not sure we're getting the information we need to go forward with the investigation," he said. "We have been doing it all day and night until we get a satisfying answer to what happened … People are more forthcoming with information; we are finding that not (to) be true in this case." \nNeither the Bloomington Hospital nor Methodist Hospital would comment.
