Dorm room searches might result in prizes

Starting Monday, Residential Programs and Services directors, students and Residence Halls Association members will inspect dorm rooms all over campus.\nBut there's no need to panic: if they're coming to your room, you already know it.\nA team of about 15 people will judge 57 rooms to find the best decorated rooms in the residence halls, said Joshua Gray, a graduate student and halls marketing assistant.\nFirst place will receive tickets to "Les Miserables," second place will receive a pizza party from Residential Dining Services, and third place will receive a photofrost cake from Ambrosia Catering and Bakery. \nThe contest was promoted in the "In Touch," an e-mail newsletter, and the deadline for entry was Oct. 27. \nEach room will be checked for roughly 10 minutes, Gray said. Judging will take place from Monday through Thursday, based on convenience for judges and participants.\nScores will be totaled Nov. 10, and probably will be announced Nov. 13, Gray said.
