The City of Bloomington Animal Shelter has around 120 to 150 animals available for adoption. The shelter launched its “Home for the Holidays” initiative to find homes for those animals this year.

Eighteen-week-old Desperado sits in his cage Dec. 13 in the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter. The shelter lowered its dog adoption fees to $40 and lowered cat adoption fees to $20 from Dec. 8-24.

Singers from the Jacobs School of Music, Singing Hoosiers and Department of Theatre, Drama and Contemporary Dance participate Thursday night in "Hamiltunes," a "Hamilton" sing-along, at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. A few members of the Bloomington High School North choir sang in the chorus, and Mayor John Hamilton came on stage to sing in a duet.
