Food inspectors find violations at Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. — State health inspectors found violations at 11 of 14 cafes and food courts on the Ball State University campus during inspections that were the first for some establishments in nearly six years.

Christina Loukas is your average, everyday girl from Chicago’s north side. But one huge difference between Loukas and anyone else on this campus is a ninth-place finish on the 3-meter springboard at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

IU overcomes 12-0 start against Michigan

Nearly seven minutes into the first half, the IU women’s basketball team had not scored a point. Then freshman Lindsay Enterline hit a 3-pointer, which was followed by an increased effort by the Hoosiers (19-9). IU came back to beat Michigan 68-50 in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday in Indianapolis.

IU officials continue working to find a replacement for retiring Dean of Students Dick McKaig. Final candidates have not yet been named.

1st Mr. Collins will be crowned this weekend

Seven Collins freshmen will perform musical numbers, magic acts and experimental art pieces during Mr. Collins, the residence center’s first-ever male pageant. The event will take place at 8 p.m. Friday in the Collins Coffee House in the Edmonson building.

4th annual Native Film Series begins Sunday at Buskirk

She laughed. She cried. She learned about the issues. Graduate student Del Criscenzo-Boyer said she spent all of January watching movies. After collaborating with fellow members of the Native American Graduate Student Association, five of them made the list for the fourth annual Native Film Series, which begins Sunday at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
