IU to welcome new cinema

IU has had its number of great actors grace the “Little Theatre,” and now many more will come to a screen near you with the opening of the new IU Cinema.The IU Cinema will officially reopen its doors to the public Thursday, with the screening of its first film “Lawrence of Arabia.”

Indianapolis' Beverly Miller wins Woman Business Owner of the Year

Beverly Miller overcame the challenge of being a woman in a men-only field by turning just less than $2,000 of seed money into millions of dollars of revenue. Now, more than 23 years later, the Indianapolis chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners selected her as the 2010 Woman Business Owner of the Year at an awards ceremony on Dec. 14.

Kappa Alpha Psi centennial events

Kappa Alpha Psi, the first all-black fraternity founded on IU’s campus, is celebrating its centennial. In celebration, the fraternity has a week of events planned.
