FDA approves HIV prevention medication

The Food and Drug Administration approved a new use of the drug Truvada for adults who do not have HIV but are at risk of becoming infected. Truvada was originally approved by the FDA in 2004 for use in combination with other medications to treat HIV-infected adults and children older than 12 years.

Ind. to pay IBM $12 million for contract termination

The State of Indiana has been ordered to pay IBM $12 million in early termination closeout payments and for equipment it retained after canceling a contract with the company to implement a privatized welfare system. The decision was ordered Wednesday by Marion Superior Judge David Dreyer.

Police arrest man for tobacco store robbery

A Bloomington man was arrested at about 8 a.m. Sunday for Saturday’s armed robbery of Karton King Discount Tobacco and Liquor Store, located at 2475 S. Walnut St. Pike.
