IU falls to Nebraska 70-60

On a night dedicated to IU’s four seniors, Nebraska’s 70-60 victory against the Hoosiers Wednesday spoiled their home farewell to their upperclassmen and effectively ended the team’s hopes of earning an NCAA Tournament at-large bid.

Smith moves on from IU basketball

Smith spent more than two seasons on the IU men’s basketball team as a walk-on. A native of South Bend, Ind., Smith played basketball and ran track in high school. He received a few offers to play basketball collegiately, but none from any Division I schools.

Hoosiers outrebounded by Spartans in loss

IU was completely outmuscled in its 76-56 loss to No. 21 Michigan State. The Spartans outrebounded the Hoosiers 46-33, tied for the fifth-most rebounds by an IU opponent all season.
