Taber out 10 weeks with injured knee

Senior forward Kyle Taber injured his knee last week and will have to undergo surgery today, according to a statement from IU Athletics media relations director J.D. Campbell. Taber is expected to miss 10 weeks while he recovers.

The women’s soccer team came into this season after a successful 2007 season, advancing further in the NCAA tournament than any other team in school history. The third round exit capped a 13-7-3, 5-4-1 in conference, record for a year ago on the strength of a 13-game unbeaten streak.

Crean signs 10-year contract

IU has signed men's basketball coach Tom Crean to a 10-year contract with a $600,000 per year base salary. The contract also promises $15.72 million in additional income from outside marketing and promotions over the 10 years.PDF: Tom Crean's contract
