Watford commits

Four-star recruit Christian Watford confirmed Tuesday night that he gave IU men's basketball coach Tom Crean a verbal commitment to play for IU following his graduation from high school in 2009. Watford becomes the fifth 2009 recruit to give the Hoosiers a verbal, and the fourth since Crean became head coach.

A small forward from Birmingham, Ala., Watford attended the Hoosiers' Elite Camp in August but made the commitment after Crean traveled to Alabama on Tuesday to visit with him personally.
