IU can't find reasons for drop in standings

After a day off, the Hoosiers (15-8, 8-6) returned to practice Saturday in preparation for tonight’s trip to Madison to face Wisconsin (15-10, 5-9). But the Hoosiers’ four-game losing streak still weighed on their minds.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – What a difference an hour makes. Sunday night, Matt Kenseth took home the coveted Harley J. Earl trophy and the title of Daytona 500 champion after NASCAR called the race 48 laps from the finish due to a heavy rain shower that persisted through the evening.

On Sunday, in front of a striped-out, sold-out Assembly Hall crowd, the Hoosiers' 65-52 loss to No. 22 Illinois marked the the team's 18th loss of the year, the most in IU history

Stripe-out set for Sunday’s tilt with Illini

IU coach Tom Crean and his young Hoosiers have had a tough go of it since their last home game.Hoping to get some of that momentum back against Illinois, the Hoosier faithful have been asked to participate in a stripe-out.

The on-again, off-again rivalry that is IU and Illinois

“I think Indiana will suck. Don’t put that on the Internet.” Those words came from Illinois coach Bruce Weber at a fan function late last June. The utterance chucked tinder onto the barn fire that has been the IU-Illinois rivalry in recent years.



Hoosiers’ losing streak runs to 4 with OT defeat

Coming into Thursday night’s game against Michigan State, the Hoosiers were riding a season-high three-game losing streak. Unfortunately for IU, the streak was extended to four with an overtime loss.

Hoosiers hope to break streak

Any losing streak is tough. The women’s basketball team is on a three-game one, having lost four of its last five games. IU hopes to break its longest losing streak tonight against Michigan State (17-7, 10-3) at Assembly Hall.

Turnovers plague IU in 62-54 loss

Paul Carter’s career-high 22 points and a season-high 14 steals by quick-handed Minnesota helped the Gophers hold off the IU men’s basketball team 62-54 on Tuesday.
