Artists give Dylan the blues
Twelve contemporary blues artists covering songs off of Bob Dylan's 1966 masterpiece rock album, Blues on Blonde on Blonde? I admit that if any artist were to deserve some kind of homage paid to him or her, it would be Dylan, but at the same time, these are obscure, contemporary blues artists. The majority of the album uses bass and drums played by the rhythm section of blues band Double Trouble, Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton. The album liner notes lend no explanation as to why Dylan deserves a tribute album at this particular time.
