The teach-in sparked discussions about the impact of the U.S.-led war with Iraq on the rest of the world.

No. 15 IU competes in postseason

Weekend festival to celebrate environment through music

Earth Day comes a bit early this year with the annual Earth and Music Festival, hosted by the IU Student Environmental Action Coalition. The festival, which will take place Saturday in Dunn Meadow, is a chance for IU students and the Bloomington community to come together and celebrate the environment through activities and music. The admission-free event will run from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Female student reports rape by acquaintance

A 22-year-old white female student reported to the IU Police Department that she was raped in her apartment on March 30 by someone she knew. The suspected rapist is being punished through the University Judicial System, IUPD Lt. Jerry Minger said.

'Team Pursuit' finishes on-track events

Thursday night at the track brought injury upon insult at Team Pursuit as the women's final heat between Kappa Kappa Gamma and Team Athena was called because of a race-ending injury to Athena senior Allison Ware.

Entrepreneur to speak

The "Little 500 week" is kicking off a little earlier this year. This weekend begins with the inaugural Little Fifty track race. The Little Fifty is a 12.5 mile relay race in which each team runs 50 laps around the outdoor track at the Haugh Varsity Track. Most teams will use a strategy of one or two lap exchanges. Tickets for the event came with the purchase of a Little 500 ticket. During fall registration 6,000 tickets were sold, well over the 3,000 person capacity of the track and field complex.
