Ready to rebuild, take two

Jammie Kirlew was lost for words. And to be honest, I felt for the Hoosier defensive end. I really did.

Taber stood on Branch McCracken Court for the last time as an IU player. He grew up in Evansville worshipping the Hoosiers, committing to the school as a walk-on after its Final Four run in 2002. He wanted to win championships. Instead, he witnessed a different kind of history.

Hoosier Compass wins RHA elections

The Hoosier Compass will serve as the governing body for the Residence Halls Association, having won the election Tuesday with 491 total votes. The Chuck Norris ticket lost the race with 417 votes.

Blasts strike Myanmar’s biggest city, 1 injured

Two explosions shook parks near busy thoroughfares in military-ruled Myanmar’s largest city Tuesday night. An official said there were no casualties, although onlookers saw one man being led to an ambulance.

Alleged La. Klan leader pleads not guilty in death

The alleged leader of a Ku Klux Klan group pleaded not guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder in the shooting death of an Oklahoma woman who police said was killed during an initiation at a remote campsite in southern Louisiana.
