The fiscal 2014 budget proposed and passed by the House last week is as austere as it is reckless. One of the main components of the bill is to repeal the Affordable Care Act in an effort to balance the budget in 10 years.

3 arrested following report of local robbery

Keith Bunton, 20, Marquese Steward, 21, and Darvon Hill, 20, were arrested Thursday following interviews with police. As of 7 p.m. Sunday, the three remained in custody at the Monroe County Jail facing preliminary charges of armed robbery

Woman arrested for theft after reporting rape

The victim, 26, while at the Bloomington Police Department being investigated for a prior theft and burglary, told police she might have been raped in February, Sgt. Lucas Tate said.

After trailing for nearly the entire second half, the IU men's basketball team was able to sneak away from Dayton with a 58-52 victory over Temple in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.

After jumping out to a nine-point lead midway through the first half against Temple in their Round of 32 matchup, the IU men's basketball team couldn't figure out a way to stop the Owls' Khalif Wyatt, who scored 20 points in the first half, including a 9-0 run himself.

Hoosiers secure 11th-place finish

Scoring 115 points and achieving their 10th consecutive top 15 finish at the NCAA Championships, the Hoosiers earned their best finish since 2010.
