Phone applications attempt to lessen heat-related deaths

The Indiana Department of Labor is reminding residents of a heat risk smartphone app. The app, offered through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration, enables workers to calculate the heat index for their workplace and assess risks based on the index.
