Mix-up registers Indiana voters twice

INDIANAPOLIS -- Nearly 6,000 voters are registered to vote in both Lake and Porter counties, a problem that state election officials say exposes the counties to election fraud and illustrates the need for a statewide, up-to-date voter list. Census trends indicate the region has a fluid population that is generally shifting from Lake to Porter County, but thousands remain eligible to vote at their old address for years after moving. Strict election laws limit the removal of moved or dead voters.

Athletics department just can't seem to get it right Stupid is as stupid does, or so it seems at the athletic department. Their new multi-million dollar plan (which is really just a modification of the one proposed two years ago) demonstrates the same level of stupidity that led to the department's record structural deficit, actual deficit and the implementation of the student athletics fee.

Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution, nor the constitution of any State, shall be construed to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon any union other than the union of a man and a woman." Fifty-three potent words comprise the Federal Marriage Amendment, a punitive, unnecessary, mean-spirited concept which this week aims to become the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It's not just marriage that it aims to keep from homosexuals, either.
