Police complete evidence collection tied to triple slaying

INDIANAPOLIS -- Investigators have finished collecting evidence at two homes where a brother and sister allegedly killed their mother and grandparents and entombed the bodies in concrete in a basement.

Grappling for the Big Ten

IU enters a crucial weekend with two matches against the cream of the Big Ten crop beginning Saturday. The Hoosiers will begin against No. 12 Michigan State at the University Gym. The Spartans have dominated the series, owning an overall record of 44-17-3, including the last six in a row. IU hasn't scored a victory against State in Bloomington since 1991.

Pre-Big Ten schedule acts as gauntlet for IU

The IU women's water polo team never backs down from a challenge. The team competed valiantly in its season opener against No. 1 UCLA, falling just short of victory. Senate OKs bill to require pledge, moment of silence INDIANAPOLIS -- The state Senate approved a bill Thursday that would require Indiana schools to lead students in the Pledge of Allegiance and offer a moment of silence every day.
