IU offers anti-anxiety programs, classes

·

Imagine unexpectedly experiencing a horrible pain in your back, and then a knot tightening so badly you cannot move or breathe. Or suddenly you become dizzy and get a severe headache. Your eyes completely black out, and then, just as swiftly, you lose consciousness -- all because of stress. For freshman Katie Behan, this is all too real.

It's good to be king

·

I hear everyone talking about how Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash is far and away the MVP of the NBA's first half. Sportswriters, broadcasters, even my friends are all telling me how great he is and how no one can compete with him right now for that award. Guys, aren't you forgetting someone?

An athlete's invisible opponent

·

It's that time of year again. It's that time of year when IU's athletic teams have to compete with a tough opponent that even the best scout can't diffuse. And no, this opponent can't serve a tennis ball, hit a three-pointer or even pin an opponent because this opponent has no athletic talent.

Hypnotist standards may go up

·

Indiana is currently the only state that regulates and certifies hypnotists. Other hypnotists from across the nation travel to the Hoosier heartland to become certified because their state does not recognize the credibility of the profession as a medical career.

Jordan River Forum

Rainbow scare

·

Don't let the cold Midwestern winter get you down. If you're looking for some hot air, just talk to someone about gay marriage because someone's bound to be full of it.

Videodrones

·

If you're reading this in Ballantine Hall as you wait for your next class to start, you're wasting precious gaming time.

Hedonistic IUSA issues are silly

·

This year's IUSA tickets - College, Connect, Kirkwood, Vote for Pedro and What About Bobby? - are setting their sights high on changing state law to lower the drinking age, improving tailgating and training cops not to break up parties. To that lofty list, there are a few other goals that should be added: We'd like to see better school dances, more vending machines in the lunchroom and longer passing periods between classes.
