IU can't find reasons for drop in standings

After a day off, the Hoosiers (15-8, 8-6) returned to practice Saturday in preparation for tonight’s trip to Madison to face Wisconsin (15-10, 5-9). But the Hoosiers’ four-game losing streak still weighed on their minds.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – What a difference an hour makes. Sunday night, Matt Kenseth took home the coveted Harley J. Earl trophy and the title of Daytona 500 champion after NASCAR called the race 48 laps from the finish due to a heavy rain shower that persisted through the evening.

$15m gift to boost Kelley building expansion

As part of an effort to raise $60 million to renovate and expand undergraduate facilities at the Kelley School of Business, a $15 million donation to the school aims to jumpstart that campaign.

Love-You-Grams, a fundraiser of the playwrights project, featured live poetry performances by trained actors and actresses sent from one friend or lover to another, and deliveries startled many recipients all over Bloomington Feb. 13 and 14.

Student reports rape in campus lot

An IU student told Kentucky police Saturday she was raped in the White Lot at IU’s Memorial Stadium. Kentucky State Police contacted IU Police Department at 3:30 a.m. Feb. 14 about a woman who reported she was raped in the parking lot at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 12, according to a press release.

Cause, effect and milliseconds

Tragic stories have surfaced in the aftermath of the plane crash near Buffalo last Thursday. The plane dove into a house and 50 lives were lost, including a person inside the home. A list of the passengers and a short biography about each are featured on the ABC News Web site. Each story and photograph is more heartbreaking than the last, and it’s emotionally draining to read the statements made by the friends and loved ones of the victims.
