During a “dialogue-in” at Diversity Day 2011, students, faculty and staff discussed the topic “Conversation: Diversity, Ethnicity and Internationalism.” Circled around five tables, groups answered questions in a structured format while facilitators pushed them to think deeper about critical issues.

When the IU baseball team’s bus pulled into the Ball State’s Ball Diamond parking lot 25 minutes prior to the first pitch Wednesday afternoon, IU coach Tracy Smith made sure any excuse for a lack of preparation would be left on the bus. Unfortunately for Ball State (2-17), junior pitcher Drew Leininger did not stay on that bus.

Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan will be honored as an outstanding public servant by the Monroe County Humane Association at its Barkway benefit auction and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Bloomington Convention Center.

Tequila, laptops stolen from Monroe County Humane Association

Last Thursday or Friday, staff of the Monroe County Humane Society reported they’d been burglarized and were missing two laptops, a camera, a video camera and three bottles of tequila. The Humane Society had the alcohol designated for auction at a charity event.
