States to file suit over health care reform bill

The White House says it isn’t worried that 13 state attorneys general are suing to overturn the massive health care overhaul, and many legal experts agree the effort is futile.

When do health care changes go into effect?

President Barack Obama held his signing ceremony for his health care overhaul on Tuesday, but the major expansion of coverage for uninsured workers and their families won’t come until 2014 — after the next presidential election. Parts of the plan won’t be fully phased in for a decade, but ultimately 94 percent of eligible Americans would have coverage.

After a long road trip, the IU baseball team is returning to comfortable surroundings. The Hoosiers (9-10) play their first contest at Sembower Field after 19 consecutive away games against the Xavier Musketeers (4-15) today.

IU-Kokomo, IU-Northwest Gary select new chancellors

Michael Harris, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Kettering University, has been appointed the new chancellor for IU-Kokomo, and William Lowe, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Metropolitan State University, has been selected as the new chancellor for IU-Northwest Gary. Both positions were announced by IU President Michael McRobbie on Tuesday and are subject to approval by the board of trustees.
