'Cinderella' year's first Oscar contender

Boxing films have a long history of being directed by the tough guys. Martin Scorsese and "Raging Bull," Michael Mann and "Ali" and even Clint Eastwood with last year's Oscar-winning "Million Dollar Baby," all three are films directed by men whose prior films backed them up when it came to directing pugilistic pictures.

'Boogeyman' a bust

The intro starts off good by grabbing the viewer's attention right from the beginning, but the movie seems to go downhill from that point unfortunately.

Audioslave is a solid band -- how could they not be? With Chris Cornell powering out his catchy vocals and top-20-all-time-guitarist Tom Morello reproving himself on every song, every Audioslave album should be good.

'Lords of' Letdown

Spending countless hours ollieing and doing 360s on a crappy skateboard in my driveway during early adolescence and seeing documentarian Stacy Peralta's "Dogtown and Z-Boys" a few years back served as a worthwhile primer to "Lords of Dogtown," a dramatized account of the aforementioned non-fiction film.
