Indiana women’s basketball lost six players to the transfer portal — which opened April 6 and closed Monday — following the 2025-26 season in which the Hoosiers went 18-14 overall and 6-12 in the Big Ten.

Indiana lost three guards — Nevaeh Caffey, Phoenix Stotijn and Chloe Spreen — and three forwards — Edessa Noyan, Faith Wiseman and Jade Ondineme — to the transfer portal. Senior guards Shay Ciezki and Jeri Kiaku exhausted their eligibility.

With eight Hoosiers leaving, Indiana is left with three returning players who saw time on the court last season: redshirt sophomore guard Lenée Beaumont, freshman forward Maya Makalusky and sophomore forward Zania Socka-Nguemen.

The Hoosiers are bringing in the No. 8-ranked recruiting class, according to ESPN, and three players from the transfer portal — former Iowa State University redshirt junior guard Kenzie Hare and redshirt junior forward Alisa Williams and former Nebraska junior forward Jessica Petrie

Here’s where the former Hoosiers who departed via the transfer portal landed:

Nevaeh Caffey

Caffey, a 5-foot-10 guard, returned to her home state as she committed to the University of Missouri on April 12 via an Instagram post. As a freshman, Caffey started all 32 games for Indiana, while averaging 8.5 points and 3.5 rebounds on 42.1% shooting from the field during the 2025-26 season. She averaged 31.6 minutes per contest.

Caffey will join a Missouri squad that went 17-17 overall and held a 4-12 mark in the Southeastern Conference in 2025-26 under head coach Kellie Harper.

After a slow start to her freshman season, Caffey began to find her rhythm toward the end. She scored in double figures in eight of the Hoosiers’ last nine games, including a season-high 18-point performance in a win over Penn State on Feb. 28.

The Warrenton, Missouri, native was named the state’s Miss Show-Me Basketball in 2025 after winning four-straight Missouri Class 6 State Championships through her high school career.

Edessa Noyan

Noyan transferred to Nebraska on April 17 for her final season of collegiate basketball, according to her Instagram post. The 6-foot-3 junior forward played one season with the Hoosiers after transferring to Indiana from the University of Virginia prior to the 2025-26 season.

The Botkyrka, Sweden, native made 21 starts for the Hoosiers after Socka-Nguemen was sidelined with two separate lower leg injuries. She averaged 5.8 points and rebounds per game in her lone season at Indiana.

Noyan had a slow start to the 2025-26 season but got more comfortable in the Hoosiers’ system as the year progressed. In the final eight games of the season, Noyan averaged nine points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She recorded a season-high 18 points in a win over Oregon on Feb. 22.

Indiana and Nebraska split their two contests against each other this season. Nebraska won the first matchup 78-73 on Jan. 8. Noyan played 15 minutes in that contest and didn’t record a point, but grabbed five rebounds.

The Hoosiers got the best of the Cornhuskers in the second matchup, however. Indiana orchestrated a 20-point comeback in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on March 4. Noyan played all 40 minutes of the contest and recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Noyan will join a Cornhuskers squad that went 19-13 overall and 7-11 in the Big Ten in 2025-26 under head coach Amy Williams. Nebraska was a No. 11 seed in the NCAA Tournament and won its First Four matchup against the University of Richmond before a first-round loss to Baylor University.

Faith Wiseman

Wiseman committed to Western Michigan University on Sunday, according to her Instagram post. Wiseman spent her freshman and sophomore seasons with the Hoosiers before departing from the program.

The Martinsville, Indiana, native made 26 combined appearances for the Hoosiers over her first two collegiate seasons. During the 2025-26 season, Wiseman averaged 6.3 minutes per game with six total points and 16 total rebounds. The 6-foot-4 forward averaged 3.5 minutes per contest over 11 appearances in her freshman season.

Wiseman will join a Western Michigan squad that went 9-20 overall last season and 5-13 in the Mid-American Conference. The Broncos are coached by Kate Achter, who will enter her second season at the helm in 2026-27.

Phoenix Stotijn

After just one season with Indiana, Stotijn committed to Auburn University on Monday, according to her Instagram post.

Stotijn transferred to Indiana for her sophomore season from the University of Arkansas. She appeared in 24 games off the bench for the Hoosiers, averaging 14.3 minutes per contest. She scored 2.1 points per game and had a season-high 11 points in Indiana’s win over Western Carolina University on Dec. 21.

The Amsterdam, Netherlands, native will play for an Auburn team that finished second to last in the SEC standings in 2025-26. The Tigers went 15-17 overall and 3-13 in conference play during head coach Larry Vickers’ first season at the helm.

Chloe Spreen

Spreen transferred to Illinois State University on April 17, according to her Instagram post. Spreen played her sophomore year with Indiana after transferring from the University of Alabama after her freshman season.

The 2024 Indiana Miss Basketball played in 11 games for the Hoosiers and averaged 4.7 minutes per contest. She scored points in four of those contests — wins over Lipscomb University, Florida Gulf Coast University, the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Penn State.

The 5-foot-10 Bedford, Indiana, native will join a Redbirds team led by head coach Kristen Gillespie. Illinois State finished the 2025-26 season with a 24-14 overall record and 13-7 mark in Missouri Valley Conference games. The Redbirds season ended with a loss to Marhsall University in Women’s National Invitation Tournament championship.

Jade Ondineme

Junior forward Jade Ondineme has not committed to another school yet.
