IU wins 59-57 in final seconds

Senior Whitney Thomas put her volleyball skills to good use on the basketball court on Sunday.  Thomas tipped in a half court inbounds pass from senior Kim Roberson with .2 seconds left to give the Hoosiers (20-10) a 59-57 victory against Dayton (21-14) in the second round of the WNIT on Sunday at Assembly Hall.

Gibbs: Deficit won't hurt plan to cut red ink

WASHINGTON — The White House says new projections of spiraling budget deficits won't stop President Barack Obama from achieving his goals or keeping his promise to cut the country's red ink in half within four years.

Crean optimistic about future seasons

Tom Crean insists he will fix IU's basketball program. And one bleak season is not going to deter him. Despite starting his tenure in Bloomington with a couple of dozen losses and the school's fewest wins in more than 90 years, Crean's unwavering optimism has the hopeful Hoosiers pondering better days.


IU women to play in WNIT on Sunday

IU’s NCAA Tournament hopes ended on Monday, when the team did not receive an at-large bid. Now the Hoosiers (19-10) will prepare for a run in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament. The team will face either Dayton or Oakland at 2 p.m. Sunday at Assembly Hall.
