Hai Yu sentenced to 5 years prison for sexual battery

Hai “Howie” Yu was sentenced to five years in prison and one year of probation after pleading guilty to sexual battery and criminal confinement. He will spend 10 years on the sexual offenders registry after his release from prison.

Track stars get ready for Outdoor Championships

Almost two weeks after 12 Hoosiers were named All-Americans, the IU track and field team will have a chance to defend that honor. IU will compete at the 2011 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships from June 23-26 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Howie Yu sentenced to 5 years in prison

Hai “Howie” Yu didn’t say much at his sentencing Friday, just a few words to his lawyer, Joseph Lozano. The surveillance video that recorded him dragging the half-clothed, fully-unconscious victim out of the Foster dormitory March 11, 2010 spoke loudly enough.
