Local artist commissioned for mural, strives for career

When the lotus flowers mural on the side of Village Deli was vandalized with graffiti, it needed to be replaced. Johnson, who works full time between her jobs at Laughing Planet and Lennie’s, was commissioned to do the work. Using spray paint as her dominant medium, she began the project almost two weeks ago.

IU partnership creates opportunities for scientists

IU has announced the beginning of a collaborative research and development agreement with the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Ind., designed to increase IU’s technology presence and create more collaboration opportunities between the two institutions and Indiana’s private business sector.

Wednesday night’s show at The Comedy Attic kicked off the fourth annual Bloomington Comedy Festival, an 11-week stand-up contest designed to recognize comedy achievement.

In the long run

It all makes sense, and these are perfectly reasonable results coming out of such a heated election process. You’d think that, with these folks being adults, childish feelings would eventually subside and the representative rulers of our nation could get back to the business of doing what’s best for their people.

The IU Athletic Department creed, “The Spirit of Indiana: 24 Sports, One Team”, seems to hold true as Hoosier athletes rally around Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Tom Morris, who is recovering from a C6 spinal cord injury he sustained from a mountain bike accident on May 17.
