From ashes to strong hits

So throwed.

It’s been a long time coming for Curren$y, but the veteran emcee has finally put something together that a major label can be proud of.

Curren$y has seen deals with No Limit, Def Jam and Cash Money Records, but it seems he’s finally found a home with Warner Bros. and his own imprint, Jet Life Recordings.

“The Stoned Immaculate” stays true to Curren$y’s lazy stoner ad-libbing, lacing the package with a sprinkle of upbeat tracks and features from popular artists like Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz.

The album hasn’t changed Curren$y’s product (which has recently lacked excitement), but it’s definitely given it a makeover.

On “The Stoned Immaculate,” he’s found more of a voice than we’ve previously heard from him. “Chasin’ Paper” featuring Pharell shows it.

Although it might not be the loudest joint on the album, Curren$y delivers a message, and that’s what he’s been missing.
