Ind. unemployment rises despite job growth

Figures released last week by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development show a promising continuation of a nine-month trend of job creation in the state. Job increases total 3,300, a growth rate of 1.7 percent. That’s nearly double the national 1 percent average.

Woman attempts to burglarize smoke shop

At about 5 a.m. Sunday, a woman claiming an addiction to synthetic marijuana, commonly referred to as spice, allegedly attempted to burglarize Smoke Shop at 309 E. Winslow Road.

In many ways, the vice presidency is a strange position. The Constitution is notably vague on the duties of the vice president. It clarifies that the vice president is next in the presidential line of succession, and he is president of the Senate.
