Track and field team to host first indoor meet

The IU track and field team will start the indoor season this weekend when it plays host to its first indoor track meet on Friday. The competition will be a two-day event and it will end on Saturday with the men’s and women’s pentathlon.

Earthly minerals found on Mars

According to reports from NASA’s website, the Curiosity rover, which landed on Mars in August 2012,  was able to provide vital insight about Mars’ past and its current environment. Two IU professors, David Bish and Juergen Schieber, contributed to scholarly essays on the minerals and rock layers found on Mars that correlate with material found on Earth.

The IU women’s basketball team’s most prolific players were at it again in Assembly Hall. Freshmen guards Taylor Agler and Larryn Brooks commanded offense and defense in IU’s home 87-68 victory over Milwaukee.

State food stamp dispersal to change
