COLUMN: Indiana should re-examine its needle exchange programs

Cases around the world have proven that state-funded needle exchange programs are effective and successful at preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS and leading drug users to other treatment options. Thus, in response to Indiana's own HIV outbreak, the state should fund a similar program.

IU drops NCAA Tournament opener in extra innings

For 11 innings on Friday night in Lexington, Kentucky, nothing could separate IU and North Carolina State in their NCAA Tournament Opening Round game. Then, the ball bounced the way of the Wolfpack. In the 12th inning, NC State junior infielder Stephen Pitarra sent a bouncing ball towards IU freshman shortstop Jeremy Houston.
