WIUX presents annual Culture Shock concert Saturday

To kick off the outdoor concert season and the Little 500 concert line-up, WIUX's Culture Shock will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Bishop, a bar on Fourth and Walnut Streets. The event is open to anyone over 18 years of age. The last band will take the stage at 9 p.m.

The first concert of Little 500, featuring Mac Miller, the Cool Kids and the Come Up, premiered last night and kicked off with a bang as doors opened and people flooded through security checkpoints.

Rapper Mac Miller will take the stage for his second Little 500 performance tonight. The show will begin at 7 p.m. at the IU Auditorium as part of his Macadelic Tour.

Column: Back to the basics

I’ll be the first to say I rarely think about “basic” clothing. Though I usually opt for easy ensembles when I’m rushing to class (i.e., jeans and a loose sweater or tee), I’m not one to simply wear a “classic” white v-neck or button-down.

TOMS attendees stand for ‘One Day Without Shoes’

Tuesday was TOMS “One Day Without Shoes,” and TOMS Shoes Club at IU organized a fundraiser to raise awareness for the TOMS cause, a company that matches every pair of TOMS purchased with a pair of shoes donated to a child in need.
