WASHINGTON -- Faced with a nation of rapidly expanding waistbands, the government is seeking advice on how to change food labels to help people better understand what they're getting. The Food and Drug Administration said it has received complaints about products that appear to be packaged as single servings, but contain nutrition labels that indicate they really include two or more servings.

IU celebrates Native American Pow Wow

The Bloomington community and IU students experienced American Indian history and culture this weekend at the First Nations fourth annual Pow Wow. The event, which was held from Friday until Sunday at the Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse, was a celebration of Native American culture, arts and music.

In the 2006 edition of U.S. News & World Report, there is a section titled "America's Best Graduate Schools." IU has several graduate programs ranked in the top 20 major programs across the nation. The University's education, psychology, sociology, history, business, law and medicine programs all received high honors.

Job fair allows students to find local work during summer

There's more to summertime in Bloomington than beautiful weather and ample parking. Students who choose to stay in town can take classes, volunteer and work in a city that takes on a new atmosphere during the warm months. With summer school registration already underway, it's time for several hundred students to find jobs.
