The fallen trees beat

·

One time freshman year, after a night of festivities, I entered my dorm room, struggled to get my eyes adjusted and emptied my pockets on the end table. I leaned toward the bottom bunk only to have a very Goldilocks-esque moment of discovering somebody sleeping in my bed. Then I realized the bed was against a different wall and I was in the wrong room.

TV cop-out

·

What happened on “Grey’s Anatomy” the other night? I missed it. What dramatically shallow life crises did those witty writers devise for their selfish creations? What ridiculously contrived, unexpected plot twist did the writers pull out of their collective ear on “Lost” this week to keep you coming back? What did perky, self-centered, adorably awkward, calculatedly messy character A, B or C do on “Scrubs” this time that was just so funny, painful or like life that you simply had to analyze it with all your friends?

·

In “Finding Herman B Wells,” published Feb. 19, the editorial board laid out its view that either of the presidential candidates, Michael McRobbie or Dr. Ora Pescovitz, would be a good fit for the IU presidency based on their prior achievement and involvement in IU.
