IU heads to West Lafayette for meet against Indiana colleges

A full field of competition will meet the IU men’s and women’s cross country teams at the Indiana Intercollegiates, at 3:30 p.m. Friday in West Lafayette. The Hoosiers will compete against Indiana colleges of all sizes and athletic associations, including the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Cheatin’ ain’t easy

It’s only cheating if you get caught. But getting caught cheating can ruin a reputation. The New England Patriots – the source of all that is evil – gave me one more reason to despise them this week when they were caught spying on the New York Jets’ defensive play calling using a video camera in their game Sunday, a big no-no in the NFL. Consider their reputation ruined.

Library discussion centers around salary, unionization

IU finishes ahead of 3 top 10-ranked teams in 1st tournament

The IU men’s golf team began its season in an impressive fashion, placing sixth out of 16 teams at the Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational in Toledo, Ohio. The tournament featured five of the top 12 teams in the country, and the Hoosiers finished ahead of three top-10 programs.

Reid: U.S. Troop reduction plan unacceptable

Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off

The Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center will be taking on a more multicultural role by hosting the opening ceremonies for National Hispanic Heritage Month. National Hispanic Heritage Month will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday after Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan delivers a proclamation announcing the beginning of the month, said Lilian Casillas, director of La Casa Latino Culture Center.

McRobbie to serve on BioCrossroads board

India’s former chief of staff to lecture at IU

The IU India Studies Program will host several distinguished guest speakers this semester, including V.P. Malik, former chief of staff of the Indian army. The lecture series will kick off at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow in the India Studies House, 825 E. 8th St., with General Malik’s lecture “Indo-US Defense and Military Cooperation.”

CSPAN-2’s Book TV tour to visit campus
