The sign of bad things to come

Watching “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” the first go-around was a sick chore. I thought maybe Michael Bay had inadvertently made a 150-minute torture porn flick, it was so awful. But four months later, I was ready to give it another chance – and my God, it’s even worse.

IUPUI gives students graduation countdown clocks

IUPUI has given about 700 freshmen credit-card-sized clocks that count down the days and hours until their graduation. College officials say the clocks put the goal of on-time graduation in front of students every day.

‘Michael Jackson's This Is It’ to open worldwide

LOS ANGELES — When Michael Jackson died in June, he was just days away from launching a 50-show run of comeback concerts in London. Now, video footage of preparations for those performances have become “Michael Jackson’s This Is It,” a documentary opening worldwide Tuesday.

2008 wrestling champion seeks redemption

Senior Angel Escobedo has nothing to prove today, but, as the season approaches, he will have to demonstrate that he is the best the nation has to offer once again. The IU wrestling team will be kicking off its season at 7 p.m. today with its annual intrasquad scrimmage at Bloomington High School North.

The Falvey family struggles on a daily basis as they watch their 3-year-old son Fletcher go through radiation therapy at Bloomington’s Midwest Proton Therapy Institute. MPRI is one of the six facilities in the United States that treats cancer through radiotherapy.
