Homeless man robs local residence

On Saturday, residents at 1101 N. Woodburn Ave. were robbed after letting a man who said he was homeless spend the night at their house.

The residents, ages 20 and 21, said the man showed up at their house while they were having a food pitch-in. When they awoke the next morning, they were missing an iPod, $300, a computer and a folding knife, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Jeff Canada said.

Residents reported that the man identified himself as James and said he lived under a bridge. He was wearing grey sweatpants with cargo pockets and was missing a tooth. The case is still under investigation.
