Record number of students sign up for Israel trip

Jewish students are invited to take an all-expenses paid trip to Israel, sponsored by the Birthright Israel Foundation and the Government of Israel since 1999. IU’s Hillel Center has sixty open spots on their trip, which will travel to Israel for ten days during winter break.

Police arrest bank robbery suspect

The first robbery charge to Christopher P. Sowers, 33, was a result of Monday’s offense that occurred at about 1 p.m. The second charge was for his attempt to rob the same bank at about 10:30 a.m. Sept. 5, according to the release.
