The senior wide receiver lost two fumbles Saturday that led to Purdue touchdowns but rebounded with crucial catches on IU scoring drives and finished with a career-high 10 receptions for 100 yards.

Wrestling sweeps Hoosier Duals

The Hoosiers improved to 6-0 in dual meets this season by sweeping opponents North Carolina-Greensboro, Old Dominion and Northern Illinois on Saturday.


Lynch fired after 4 years as head coach

IU football coach Bill Lynch will not be retained as football coach, athletics director Fred Glass announced Sunday. The decision came a day after the Hoosiers ended their 2010 season with a 34-31 overtime victory against rival Purdue in West Lafayette.

By winning the season finale, IU beat Purdue in West Lafayette for the first time since 1996 and also managed to avoid going winless in the Big Ten.

Lynch expects Chappell to be available Saturday

Even though the senior quarterback has been banged up throughout the year, last week was the first time he left the game because of an injury. But the IU coach said he is optimistic about Chappell’s chances to return Saturday against Penn State.

Column: Losing culture is biggest issue for IU football

The concerning thing about IU footabll has less to do with the actual players on the field and more to do with the  program as a whole. A losing culture has been established, and the current players are left with the burden of fixing it, writes columnist Justin Albers.
