Indiana softball is looking to build off its strong start to the 2026 regular season. After a 4-1 showing last weekend at the Paradise Classic in Boca Raton, Florida, the Hoosiers will now turn their attention to the Littlewood Invitational in Tempe, Arizona, which will run from Thursday to Sunday.

After entering February without a single Big Ten win, Indiana women's basketball has managed to give itself a fighting chance to make the Big Ten Tournament. Three straight victories over Northwestern on Feb. 1, Wisconsin on Feb. 4 and Purdue on Sunday boosted the Hoosiers from 17th to tied for 14th, allowing them to breath slightly easier in their upcoming games.

“Pride and Prejudice,” a stage play adapted by Kate Hamill and based on the 1813 novel written by Jane Austen, will be performed at Ruth N. Halls Theatre from Feb. 13-21, bringing love and humor to Indiana University.

The Jacobs Opera and Ballet Theater will premiere Jonathan Dove’s “Mansfield Park” beginning Friday at the Musical Arts Center as part of IU’s larger celebration of Jane Austen’s 250th birthday. The opera will have four showings, two this weekend at IU and two more Feb. 21 and 22 at the Madam Walker Legacy Center in Indianapolis.

Indiana University’s Media School will launch a journalism program this fall for students to cover underreported topics in Southern Indiana. The Indiana Newsroom will allow 15 students per semester to work directly with student and professional news organizations, starting with Indiana Public Media, according to a Monday news release from IU Today.

The Indiana Daily Student will hold the spring Housing Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Alumni Hall in the Indiana Memorial Union. The western-themed event will showcase more than 40 local housing and leasing groups who will be on hand to give students information on local properties. Students can also enter to win prizes throughout the event. Prizes will include gift cards and coupons from some of Bloomington’s favorite restaurants and local businesses, as well as many other unique items like Hoosier Heights passes.
