A new provision allowing vehicles with six or more unpaid citations to be towed will go into effect June 12. The change comes after Bloomington city council approved the new provision to the city code last year, according to Indiana Public Media.

The city of Bloomington will host a memorial event honoring victims of gun violence at 4 p.m Saturday, June 3 at the Monroe County Courthouse. According to a city of Bloomington press release, the event is part of Wear Orange weekend, a movement honoring those who have been impacted by gun violence.

It’s March. I’m sitting near Delicate Arch on a rust-colored slab of sandstone, eating a slightly-melted turkey and cheese sandwich. Fixer upper in Texas, exciting city life in Chicago, move-in-ready family home in Pennsylvania. The list goes on — and those are only the episodes in the U.S. “House Hunters International” provides a whole other list of episodes, making my decision that much harder. Madrid, Tuscany, Costa Rica.

Every year, IU’s Little 500 brings together students, families and even celebrity guests — Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj performed in 2011 — to view the iconic bike race. As the weather warms up, so does the celebration, as visitors come from across the country to spend the weekend exploring the city.

For months, the Bloomington City Council has pursued the potential removal of Greg Alexander, a frequent public commenter — both in council chambers and Twitter — who currently sits on the Traffic Commission. Leading the charge is Councilmember Dave Rollo, who Alexander believes is unfairly prioritizing the Elm Heights neighborhood. Wednesday’s city council meeting will contain further discussion and a possible decision on the matter.
