In this video, IU's Michael Basil talks about how Iowa's pitcher Matt Dermody shut the Hoosiers down. Also, Basil talks about his two-out throwing error in the fifth inning that extended the inning and allowed a Hawkeye runner to score. On the game, Basil went 1-for-2 with a walk.

In this video, starter Kyle Hart talks about how difficult it was to retired Hawkeye hitters, taking a line drive off of the foot and errors that led to the Hoosiers demise. On the game, Hart went six and two-thirds innings and allowed five hits, four runs (only one earned run), two walks, while only striking out one batter. The Hoosiers return to action Sunday in the rubber match against Iowa at Sembower Field.

In this video, starter Collin McEnery talks about how good it felt to hit in the three-spot and get at triple. In the game, McEnery recorded his second and third hits of the season and finished 2-for-5. The first hit was a laced-triple down the first base line that almost took the Xavier's first baseman's head off. The second was a ripped single up the middle. On the mound, McEnery did not allow a run or a hit in his two innings, but he walked three batters and wasn't his sharpest. McEnery talks about battling through inaccuracy and errors.

In this video, IU coach Tracy Smith talks about how the Hoosiers allowed the Xavier Musketeers to score 11 unanswered runs. After taking a three-run lead in the first inning, IU committed five errors and walked seven batters to "breathe life" into Xavier. The Musketeers capitalized and defeated IU in the second game at Sembower Field.

IU short stop Michael Basil talks about the Hoosiers' sloppy defense in their 11-3 loss to Xavier Tuesday at Sembower field. Basil went 3-for-4 on the day. As a team the Hoosiers committed five errors against Xavier and have now comitted 57 errors in 25 games--by far worst in the Big Ten and 19 errors more errors than the next second worst team, Northwestern.

In this video, IU third baseman/first baseman Sam Travis talks about adjusting to curve balls during the Hoosiers' first home game of the season against Eastern Kentucky University. After EKU attacked Travis with all curve balls in his first at-bat, Travis said he was ready for the off-speed pitches in his second at-bat and roped a two-home run to left field in a game the Hoosiers would win 11-5.

In the home opener against Eastern Kentucky University, sophomore third baseman Dustin DeMuth went off on the Colonels. DeMuth finished the day 4-for-4 with two singles, a double, a triple, three RBI and three runs. DeMuth, who led the Hoosiers in hits last season, has struggled so far this year, but he talks about how he hopes to carry over his hot hitting into the next series, the opening series of the Big Ten season against Penn State.
