Drivers thoughts on latest rivalry

Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski have been all of the talk in NASCAR the past few days, after their last-lap shenanigans in the Nationwide Series Race at Gateway International Raceway (Madison, Ill.) last weekend. After contact was made with Edwards car in the first turn of the final lap, Edwards deliberately turned into Keselowski's car on the final straightaway, sending Keselowski into the wall. Edwards went on to win the race.

Stewart on his home-state race

Tony Stewart has had 19 total starts at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 11 of those are in a Sprint car, five in IndyCar and three starts in IROC. Stewart has won two Brickyard races (2005 and 2007).

Memorial Stadium scores HD scoreboard

Memorial Stadium will have a new scoreboard this coming fall, and it will be among the nation's 10 largest college scoreboards. According to an IU athletics press release, the scoreboard will be 36-ft tall and 91-ft wide and will contain a HD screen.

Leary to face up to 3 years behind bars

Former Indiana guard Todd Leary averaged 5.4 points, 1.9 assists and 1.3 rebounds per contest and booked a career average of .460 shooting from beyond the arc while he donned the cream and crimson from 1989 to 1994. He can now add two more stats to his list of accomplishments: at least 18 months of jail and his 18th felony charge.

Hoosiers hit 20

The 2011 recruiting class has gained its 20th member, with the commitment from Bloomington native D'Angelo Roberts. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back rushed for more than 2,600 yards last season and scored 32 touchdowns for Bloomington South. His 217 yards per game was the second highest in the state of Indiana last year.
