Moor Hound; The Bishop

Tuesday, 9 PM

There's something remarkable about the new LP by Moor Hound: "Stifled Spirit," that makes you see your surroundings in a montage of blurry images, as though someone were flashing you bright pictures for only as long as it took you to recognize something real about them. This is probably because Moor Hound's acoustic riffs are as soporific and free floating as the melodies of Debussy, and the vocals of Steve Marino as soft as freshly baked bread. "Stifled Spirit" is Moor Hound's sophomore album, released January 29, which means that they'll be doing their hardest to break it in. With Laura Balke and Mike Adams at His Honest Weight, the Bishop's show tomorrow night promises a master recital in indie musicianship.
