In the realm of female rock vocalists there's usually a pretty big dichotomy; you either get your moaning heartbreakers or your brokenhearted screamers. Genevieve Schatz is that rare singing combination: a plaintive power-house. She's a girl who's got the chops but won't beat your face in with them; what's more is that she, unlike many female vocalists, won't mistake sounding loud with sounding good. Genevieve Schatz, vocalist for the Chicago band Company of Thieves, will be dropping an acoustic performance Wednesday Night with guitarist Marc Walloch.
