Band of Horses; The Bluebird

Thursday, 8 PM

Hitting up the Bluebird is a rare treat. Band of Horses, five rockers with fine taste in facial hair and an even finer sense of musical diversity will be purveying their wares tomorrow. Their sound lilts with well-rounded harmonies with tilting hint of country. With feel-good radio-rock at times ("Knock Knock", from their new album Mirage Rock) and at others, regretful acoustic ballads ("Slow Cruel Hands of Time"), Band of Horses is a quintet of talented bros with an ability to sound both a remnant of golden-age rock bands such as Boston and The Allman Brothers, and a modern force to be reckoned with.
