Okay, so when one of the greatest MCs of all time comes to Bloomington on Tuesday, it won't be to perform a rap show. That shouldn't stop you from spending your evening in the presence of greatness and enjoying what promises to be a fascinating lecture by one of the best living orators - even if the style of its delivery won't be in his usual cadence. Public Enemy's Chuck D will give a lecture called "Race, Rap and Reality" at the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center in an event sponsored by IU's Union Board, who are apparently trying to apologize for booking Sublime with Rome as the Little 500 show. Few people are more qualified to speak on hip hop and its cultural influence than Chuck D, and unless a nation of millions is holding you back, you have no excuse not to be there.
