Tammar was one of the first Bloomington bands in which I fell in love. There was something intoxicating about their onstage presence and sound, and I saw them many times over the course of my time as an IU student. When you believe in a band's ability to make music, it's always great when their scope widens beyond Indiana and they begin to get some recognition. This is why I had to mention that they recently signed to Seattle-based label, Suicide Squeeze and were mentioned on Pitchfork yesterday. Pretty rad stuff.
