After working on several musical projects in his homestate of Idaho, singer-songwriter Justin Ringle moved to Portland and began playing acoustic music for open mics under the plume de nom Horse Feathers. Since those late nights spent in coffee shops, Horse Feathers has taken off and found a home at Kill Rock Stars in 2008. Their music is poignant and earnest, and reminds me of Bowerbirds or Iron & Wine. Even if you've never heard of Horse Feathers before, I would highly suggest coming out to this show if you're a fan of this strain of Americana folk music.
