I'm not as personally well-versed with Minus the Bear (although I've heard many great things), but I've always loved Tim Kasher. Ever since I discovered Cursive, I've been hooked. Now Tim has a solo album The Game Of Monogamy out on Saddle Creek. It's more of an arranged record than anything he's done before with Cursive and The Good Life. It has pop sensibility and is also orchestral, while touching on all the emotions tangled up around relationships and how expression routinely becomes repression in the name of romance.
I can't wait to hear these songs performed live with a full band and I hope to see you there.
